While it can be slightly confusing, putting music on one's profile is simple enough. This tutorial will provide screenshots and steps to tell you exactly how to do this.
1.
Begin by going to kiwi6.com, a MP3 hosting website, which is the one that we primarily use. However, most MP3 files should work, if you have another preferred website. Be forewarned, though, this tutorial only covers kiwi6.
2.
Depending on what you're planning on doing, there's two options on how to continue. I suggest searching for your song first, using the search bar. Keep the Upload button in mind until later.
Below, the search bar is circled in purple, while the upload button is in orange.
3.
If you choose to search first, you'll need to simply enter in your song/band/whatever's name. Be sure to check all the tabs for results. Below is an example.
4.
Click on the result, it will bring you to this page:
5.
Once again, click the thing. It brings you here
6.
Click the Share button, and copy the hotlink that shows.
7.
Now, go to your profile with the hotlink, and paste it in the profile field that's called 'Music'
8.
Paste and save.
What if the song I want isn't there?
In this case, you need to download the files to the song you want. Then begin with the below tutorial, rather than the one above.
1.
Remember the Upload button from earlier? Click that, and it brings you to this page.
2.
Select your file from your computer.
3.
Now that you've selected your file, fill in the information and click 'Begin Upload'
4.
When the file finished uploading, it will bring you to this page. Click 'Manage Files'
5.
From here on, we do the same thing as the Searching. Click 'Share'
6.
Copy the hotlink that displays.
7.
Go to your profile, and click 'Edit Profile'
8.
Paste the hotlink in the 'Music' profile field and save.
Enjoy. Hope it helped.
