The Aanil Castle [The Capital]

Aanil is home to the Royals of the Water Kingdom. Being so close to the Ocean the Castle is almost bonded to the water around it itself. Many statues cover the grounds along with many amazing water features within the castle walls. Many rooms with marvelous creations decorator the interior walls while many more cover the Throne room. The Throne room, and most of the castle, is made up of beautiful white marble while the inside is a darker sea blue. Other stones are made of collections of coral within the main structure of the castle walls. The Throne room has many colorful tapestries that show the glory of the reefs below and a large balcony that leads out the side of the Throne room. The two Thrones them selves are made of dark blue coral that matches the inside of the castle walls.

Rah' Ekitic moved across the Throne room silently, nodding to the guards at the door as she did so. She made her way outside and onto the large balcony over looking the ocean below. It was a beautiful view that had her reminding the days before the war and split the kingdom. She sighed, still marveling over the statues to the sides of the balcony. She had always admired the art that some could do to enhance the beauty of a simple object such as stone or coral.

Va'Sheska was a dragon who had gills rather than lungs, so, while she lived in the castle as a healer, she was unable to leave the water. Spotting Rah'Ekitic from the water below, she waved her fins in respect.

Ekitic glanced down at her and smiled, nodding her head and smiling at her. She glanced at the guards behind her and made sure they weren't looking before she opened her wings silently and took off from the balcony. Silently as an owl she flew down to the ocean and let herself land gracefully on the water's surface. Ice quickly formed under her feet and soon enough she was lying down on a floating slab of iced salt water. "I've had a lack of good conversation lately...How are you fairing?" she asked respectively. Even as Queen she was extremely humble about it.

Va'Sheska smiled a greeting,"I'm faring well, thanks to you, my queen." She said,"Are you doing well?"

Rah' Ekitic smiled. " I'm doing well thank you. It is a nice day. Though....I can't help but worry about others, others who where not so lucking during the war," she said quietly and placed one of her hands over the other as she laid on the floating ice. She glanced at Va'Sheska and then forced a better smile. "I'm glad of what has been established now however," she added in a grateful tone.

[Argo]

"Yes, I worry about upcoming battles, as well, with the tensions so high. But this Kingdom is strong. We will survive, like the sea." she said, somewhat optimistically.

Ekitic nodded. "Hopefully it is as resistant to change as well," she said quietly as she stared into the water. "It is natural to be worried and unsettled in these times as you say. Everything is still balancing itself out. Like the tides yes?" she asked as she looked onto Sheska's face.

[Argo]

"Yes, they will be rough for a time, but they will eventually settle." she said, smiling to her queen.

[silverhood]

She nodded again, agreeing with her in her words. "Yes...they will be," she said distantly. "i am not keeping you from anything am I? I only now realized I may be keeping you from a duty you may have been heading to," she said with a remorseful tone. She lifted her head just a bit but kept it bowed in respect for her audience.

[Argo]

"Of course not, Rah'Ekitic." Va'Sheska quickly said,"It's an honor getting to speak to you like this, and there isn't too much for a healer such as myself to do at the moment, anyway."

[silverhood]

Ekitic smiled slightly. "You can just call me Ekitic. I don't mind," she commented. She glanced over her and then dipped her claw into the water. "Yes...that is true, everything is calm for the moment isn't it. Yet I can not help but feel like there is something building, like a steam rising from the cracks between rocks that signals destruction. Yet..there is no steam to be seen just a feeling," she said, her voice calm though she spoke as distant again. "Figuratively speaking of course," she added.

[Argo]

Va Sheska's smile saddened ,"Yes, I can feel it too. Tensions are high between the Kingdoms. I fear that the Great War may begin once again soon."

[silverhood]

Ekitic blinked a sad look plastered to her face. "I wish there was a way to prevent that from happening. Though, it does not seem it is my decision to make," she said quietly as she turned her head to look back up at the castle. She shook her head and then looked back at her. "I must admit though. Even thinking of another war makes me weary of what is ahead. Though, I would like to think that even after, there will still be a new hope after...those who control the fates must guide us," she said as she took in a deep breath to keep her nerves calm.

[Argo]

"There will always be hope for those who remain strong. We will survive whatever the fates throw at us." said Va Sheska truthfully. "Your loyal servants will remain by your side to the end."

[silverhood]

Ekitic brightened, even if it was just a little. "Thank you," she said with a hopeful look. "You speak wise words for one young as you. Perhaps when you learn more of your gift you will take the honor or being one of the Royal Healers," she said as she stood up and then balanced herself on the ice sheet she had made.

[Argo]

Va Sheska was slightly embarrassed,"I hope for nothing less in my future, my Queen."

[silverhood]

Ekitic smiled opening. "Yes....ambition is a good quality to have as long as your remain in control of it," she said softly. Her eyes softened as she gazed over she waters around her. "Hopefully this feeling will pass and your gifts will not be used during war," she added as she looked back at Va Sheska.

[Argo]

"Yes, I hope that I will not need to use them in war." she said

Rah' Ekitic nodded in mutual agreement. She yawned slightly as her claws scrapped softly on the ice. "I would like to stay longer but...The guards will soon notice I'm gone," she said with a half laugh.

[Argo]

Va Sheska smiled at her and nodded,"I see. It was an honor speaking to you, my Queen."

[silverhood]

Ekitic nodded. "As is a pleasure to speak to you as well," she said with a smile. She sighed and then spread out her wings. "Perhaps I will see you later on today?" she asked but it was more of a statement. Silently she lifted off her ice sheet she had made and watched dissolve back into the water. She hovered there for a moment. "I wish you a good rest of your day," she added before rising in the air quiet as an owl and starting to make her way back up to the castle balcony.

"You too," Va Sheska replied, just before Ra'Ekitic left. She turned down and swam deeper into the water.

Rah' Ekitic landed on the balcony, her claws the only sound of her arrival. A guard saw her but simply nodded at her, making her sigh in slight relief that he wasn't going to tell anyone that she had left. Of course she was the Queen and it didn't really matter but she didn't like telling anyone anyways.
